Welcome to this new and exciting book comprising of 50 hard codewords and 50 very hard codewords!

This book is the perfect gift for the veteran codeword solvers who need something harder to flex their puzzle solving muscles! This might also be a fun activity to do with another person – as these puzzles are aimed to be harder than the standard codewords, two brains will surely be better than one!

The collection of puzzles is harder as a standard codeword would normally have between 2 and 4 letters given at the start, whereas, these puzzles either have only one given letter (the hard crosswords) or none at all (very hard codewords). In total you can expect to be challenged by 50 puzzles in total in this book!

You will have to use your codeword solving talents to solve these puzzles where minimal or no hints are provided. One top tip is to count how often certain patterns appear – the most frequently occurring letters in the English language (in order) are E, T, and A so applying this knowledge to puzzles might be helpful! Another tip is to look for repeating numbers in a word such as double O that might be featured. Looking for patterns is a good way to try to crack these hard codewords!

Solutions can be found at the back for both the hard and very hard codeword so be sure to check your answers there or look for a hint if you are particularly stuck on a puzzle.
