Normally codewords are usually played on a 13x13 grid, and sometimes 15x15 grids, we’ve increased the size of this collection to a massive 19x19 jumbo grid size!

The rules of this puzzle type remain the same: a letter of the alphabet from A-Z has been interchanged in the grid for a number between 1 and 26. Each number symbolises one letter so, for example, it might be true for one puzzle that the letter T is represented by the number 7. Once that is known, you should cross it out in the A-Z bar, write the letter T under the number & in the code bar beneath the grid. This helps you keep track of what progress you have made! The last step is to write the letter T every time the number 7 appears.

At the end of this activity, for every puzzle, you will have deduced which letter is symbolised by each number from 1-26 and will have filled in the grid to solve the puzzle!

The solutions for each puzzle are included at the very end of the book to check your answers or to provide a small hint. We have used a large page size so that there is plenty of room for you to do your working out. All the fonts in the puzzle, and the solutions, are clear to read and are on plain white paper.
